Become a Volunteer
We require volunteers to assist with meal delivery Mondays to Fridays, from 10.30am to 1.00pm
Volunteering is a great way for caring, community minded people to be able to give back to the community at times that suit their busy lifestyle. We have a lovely group of volunteers many of whom have become good friends who look forward to having good chat together especially at our Volunteers Christmas Lunch.
Once a volunteer has been through the induction process, which includes getting a Criminal History Check – paid for by us, the staff will find a suitable time available for you to volunteer. Volunteering can be on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis and some people also indicate their availability to be on our “emergency” roster.
Volunteering can be in various categories : meal delivery (either driving or aiding) kitchen assistant (basic food preparation), gardening or odd jobs.
Our meals leave the kitchen between 10.30 and 10.40am Monday to Friday and so the delivery time frame generally takes between 1.5 hours – 2 hours.
